🌱 Charleston County School District Sued + Symphony Postponed

First, today's weather:

Here are the top three stories today in Charleston:
- The Charleston County School District is being sued over workplace safety. The lawsuit is targeted at administrators who failed to take meaningful disciplinary action against students who abused teachers. Various administrators within the district are being investigated for instances that occurred from 2014 on. (Live 5 News WCSC)
- Charleston Symphony again postponed their world premiere due to COVID-19. The January 7th and 8th performances of "Hart of Tchaikovsky" were postponed after a musician tested positive for COVID-19. The Symphony looks to reschedule the dates in the near future. (Subscription: Charleston Post Courier)
- There are charges pending after a student was assaulted at Jerry Zucker Middle School. In December a student hit another student on the head so hard they had to be treated for a concussion. The police's investigation was on hold because the school was on winter break. (Live 5 News WCSC)

- City of Charleston offices will be closed on Monday, January 17, 2022, in observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. In order to provide service to all residents in a timely manner, garbage and trash collection will take place on a modified schedule. (Facebook)
