🌱 $10 Million To Fix Intersection Flooding + Emergency Exercises

Here are the top three stories in Charleston today:

  1. The City of Charleston will be investing another $10 million into fixing the intersection of King and Huger Streets. The intersection has been plagued by flooding issues for years. The city has already invested $5 million in the intersection by increasing pipe sizes and increasing the number of drains. The new funds will go towards an improved pump station. (Live 5 News WCSC)
  2. Charleston's immersive Van Gogh exhibit has been extended. The Beyond Ban Gogh experience was originally scheduled to run through Sept. 4 but now it will remain in Charleston through Sept. 25. The immersive experience offers participants the opportunity to experience over 300 Van Gogh pieces through a stunning unique digital projection. Click for tickets. (WCBD News 2)
  3. Joint Base Charleston will be conducting emergency response exercises through Sept. 1. The exercises began yesterday, Aug. 22. The base warns of possible traffic delays caused by the exercises due to increased traffic and appreciates the community's patience and cooperation. (WCBD News 2)
