1. Charleston Hospitality Group has announced COVID-19 vaccinations are mandatory for all staff members. The group operates a number of popular restaurants in the Lowcountry, including Eli's Table, JohnKing Grill, and Queology. All employees are required to be fully vaccinated by early October. 2. The Charleston Animal Society is hosting a "clearing the shelters" pet adoption event this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be no cost to adopt an animal and each adoption comes with a goody bag of coupons and supplies. The event will be held at the animal shelter located at 2455 Remount Rd. (ABC NEWS 4)
3. Lowcountry Food Bank is holding its annual "Walk to Fight Hunger" this Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Riverfront Park. (WTMA)
4. North Charleston fire crews responded to a vehicle crash with a fuel spill on Meeting Street near I-26 yesterday afternoon. (WCBD News 2)
