- To usher in the holiday season, Charleston Place will convert its public spaces into an "enchanted wonderland forest." The spaces will be complete with all-white installations, immersive birch forests, and abundant garland throughout the hotel from Petaloso floral design studio. Charleston Place also has a host of holiday activities taking place at the hotel throughout the festive season. (holycitysinner.com)
- The North Charleston Police Department is investigating after a body was discovered at a North Charleston home improvement store. Officers say they responded to the Home Depot on Northwoods Boulevard just before 7:30 a.m. Thursday in reference to a man sleeping. A report states that officers noticed a "pipe commonly used for drugs" next to the man and initially thought the man may have overdosed after attempts to wake the man were unsuccessful. Upon closer inspection, officers noticed the man had a gunshot wound. (Live 5 News WCSC)
