Here are the top three stories today in Charleston:
- Charleston has once again been named the top city in the U.S. through 2022 Travel + Leisure's survey. The main highlights of Charleston according to the survey were its walkability, food, drinks, and Southern charm. The city also earned the 23rd spot on the site's list of best cities in the world. - The Charleston Animal Society is currently overcrowded. The shelter has hundreds of adoption-ready pets looking for forever homes. The shelter is desperately pleading for the community to step up and adopt the animals. There is no adoption fee currently. Click to find your new best friend today. (WCBD News 2)
- The North Charleston Police Department is currently searching for a missing 14-year-old girl. The community is asked to keep an eye out for Donneria Lilliston. She reportedly went missing last Saturday around 6:30 p.m. while wearing a black hoodie and carrying blankets with a backpack. Anyone with information on Donneria's whereabouts is asked to contact the department immediately. (WCBD News 2)
