First, today's weather:

Here are the top three stories in Charleston today:
- A Charleston hospital is working to prevent unintentional shootings. The Medical University of South Carolina currently offers firearm locks to patients as part of its Turning the Tide program. This is the first hospital violence-intervention program in South Carolina. The hospital also distributed the locks at North Charleston's National Night Out on Aug. 3. (Charleston Post Courier)
- The Charleston Fire Department responded to a fire on The Citadel campus. The incident occurred on Friday at Byrd Hall around 6:30 a.m. The fire was located on the roof near an exhaust fan. The department is currently investigating how the fire started. One individual was injured during the incident but was released by EMS at the scene. (ABC News 4)
- The Charleston County School District's Back-To-School Hotline is officially open. The annual hotline is meant to answer questions about the upcoming school year. The 2022-2023 school year begins on Wednesday. The hotline is available this week between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. (CountOn2)
