Good morning, Charleston! Let's get you started this Saturday with everything you need to know going on today in town.


First, today's weather:

Here are the top three stories in Charleston today:

  1. Charleston police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred on Thursday night. According to the Charleston County Sheriff's Office, the robbery took place at around 7:00 p.m at the Domino's located at 1930 Ashley River Road. Two armed men entered the restaurant and left in an unknown vehicle. (Count On 2)
  2. Two North Charleston restaurants made Yelp's Top 100 Restaurants list for 2022. Jackrabbit Filly claimed the #6 spot on the list with its new spin on Asian and American classics. Coming in a #22, Cajun restaurant LoLa serves favorites like gumbo, crawfish etouffee, gator bites, and beignets. (Count On 2)
  3. On Thursday, Boone Hall Plantation announced that renovations will begin to turn the historic Cotton Gin House into a museum and event space. While the building will keep its historic exterior, the inside of the house, which is believed to date back to the 1850s, will be completely renovated inside. (WCBD News 2)
