Book Signing at Middleton Place

Denise Kiernan and Joseph DAgnese, authors of "Signing Their Lives Away" will be back at Middleton Place with their second book, Signing Their Rights Away. The book signing will start in the Museum Shop at 4:00 p.m. followed by a lecture in the Pavilion at 5:30 p.m. Admission is $5 per person and includes wine and cheese.

Signing Their Rights Away has a special Middleton Place connection because Charles Cotesworth Pinckney, a signer of the 1787 Constitution, married Sarah Middleton (daughter of Henry Middleton). Charles Cotesworth Pinckney is among the 39 men brought to life in the narrative. Through mini-biographies, Signing Their Rights Away sheds light on the flawed elected officials and their complex lives.
