Doug MacIntyre, an eleventh generation South Carolinian, is passionate about historical research and preservation. The topic of his presentation is “Charles Town in the American Revolution”: In South Carolina, the Revolution began and ended in the capital city of Charles Town. The speaker will address the characters, connections, and conflicts that dominated the city from the Battle of Sullivan’s Island in 1776 through the end of British occupation in 1782. Guests are welcome.
