The Order Sons of Italy in America (OSIA) is the oldest and largest organization of Americans of Italian ancestry in North America. Founded in New York in 1905 by Dr. Vincenzo Sellaro, the organization helped newly arriving immigrants to assimilate into their new homes.
Today, OSIA encompasses more than 100,000 members. The Charleston Chapter of OSIA, Cristoforo Colombo Lodge 1060, was founded in 1924 and continues in the spirit of Dr. Sellaro's original concept.
If you are Italian, of Italian descent, or love Italian food and customs, please join us in the community center for our monthly meetings. We have a short meeting and enjoy food, drink and comradre and sometimes even some games. Please bring a dish to share (to feed 6-8 people).
For more information about the meetings, membership, or the sale of our cookbook, call Marsha Iafrate at 843-509-9340.
