Here are the top three stories in Charleston today:

  1. The Charleston County School District has named two permanent principals. Ian James will serve as principal of Midland Park Primary School and Shannon McAlister will serve as principal of Stiles Point Elementary. Both have been serving as interim principals for the 2021-2022 school year. (ABC NEWS 4)
  2. The Charleston Farmers Market has been canceled for today due to inclement weather. The forecast calls for severe thunderstorms and strong winds. The market will resume normal operating hours on Mar. 19, 2022. (WTMA)
  3. The North Charleston Police Department has arrested a man and a woman on third-degree charges for interfering with bus operations. Breiona Terry and Edward Campbell allegedly attacked a child and a bus driver on Jan. 14. Both individuals have been released from the Charleston County jail on bond. (Charleston Post Courier)
