Here are the top three stories in Charleston today:
- The Charleston Animal Society has issued a heat-stress alert. The organization is urging pet owners to keep animals indoors during the heatwave that is impacting the area. The heat-stress index was developed by the University of Kentucky College of Agriculture. Charleston will reach "danger" and "emergency" levels this week. (ABC NEWS 4)
- The City of Charleston is offering a series of financial literacy workshops this summer to engage our community's youngest members. - The Charleston Police Department is searching for a missing boater. The department was notified of a missing elderly man that was pulled from a boat by a strong current.
