Here are the top stories in Charleston today:

1. The Ralph H. Johnson VA Health Care System will distribute pre-packaged dinner meal kits to Veterans-in-need this Thanksgiving. Veterans or active duty service members and their families can get everything they need for a full Thanksgiving meal free of charge. The kits will be distributed starting at 1 pm on Saturday, Nov. 20 in the parking lot of the North Charleston VA Outpatient Clinic located at 6450 Rivers Ave. Proof of military service is required. 2. Cookies for a Cause has returned starting yesterday for a one-week campaign at select Chick-fil-As. For every cookie purchased this week, $1 will be donated to the Make-A-Wish South Carolina chapter and help fund a wish for a child in the Lowcountry.
