  1. Holiday Magic in Historic Charleston is kicking off this weekend! Hosted by the city's Office of Cultural Affairs, the series of events offers free, family-friendly activities, live performances, and decorations all around town for the community to enjoy together. This year's schedule of events includes Chanukah in the Square, the annual Tree Lighting, the city Holiday Parade, and more. (Press Release Desk)
  2. The City of Charleston is offering two hours of free parking downtown during the holiday season. Those looking to enjoy holiday events or spend some time shopping can park for free for up to two hours in participating garages by showing a special voucher upon exiting. The voucher is valid through Jan. 1, 2022, and can be downloaded from the city's website. (WCBD News 2)
  3. An impressive 90 percent of Charleston city employees have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 ahead of Monday's deadline. Another 9.7 percent of employees received medical or religious accommodations for the vaccine mandate. Just five employees remain unvaccinated without an exemption. This group must comply with the policy by the end of a week of unpaid leave or resign, according to City of Charleston spokesman Jack O'Toole. (The Times and Democrat)
  4. The Keep Charleston Beautiful program has been preserving The Holy City's natural beauty since 1977 through education, awareness, and community involvement. Residents who are interested in supporting this program can donate their time to litter sweeps, Adopt-A-Stop, tabling events, and fundraising. (CHStoday)
