Here are the top stories today in Charleston:
- The Charleston County Coroner's Office has identified 24-year-old Alan Johnson III from Sumter as the man who was shot and killed in a shooting this past weekend. Sumter died from a gunshot wound early Sunday morning on the 7600 block of Suzanne Drive. Police have not found the suspect yet and will release more information on Tuesday. (Live 5 News WCSC)
- Charleston's famed 'Hotel Bella Grace' was sold for $27.3 million by 115 Calhoun Hospitality LLC to Odyssey Propco X LLC. The boutique hotel has been a set of controversies ever since nine people were killed at a church near the hotel seven years ago. The hotel opened in 2018, three years after avowed white supremacist Dylann Roof shot and killed nine people at the Mother Emanuel AME Church. (Myrtle Beach Sun News)
- An 18-year-old man turned himself in for a December murder in North Charleston. Levi Richardson, III, 18, was charged with the murder of Johnathan Smith and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime for the Dec. 11 incident. (ABC NEWS 4)
