Man Charged After Domestic Incident + Walk To End Alzheimer's

Here are the top stories in Charleston today:
- A man has been charged after he barricaded himself at a home on James Island following a domestic-related incident Friday. According to the Charleston County Sheriff's Office, Jonathan Hill was arrested and charged with first-degree domestic violence, causing an explosion that damaged a building or people. He was also charged with two counts of possessing or manufacturing an explosive that caused damage, injury, or death. (Live 5 News WCSC)
- A Walk to End Alzheimer's is happening in North Charleston on Saturday, Oct. 16 at Riverfront Park. Through the walk, the Alzheimer's Association Walk is aiming to raise funds for Alzheimer's care, support, and research. At the event, participants will honor those affected by the disease with a Promise Garden ceremony. (ABC NEWS 4)
- The North Charleston Arts Fest is now collecting submissions for its 2022 poster design. (ABC NEWS 4)
- An apartment-style hotel is under construction in North Charleston, intentionally designed to feel like home (Charleston Regional Business)
- Several Southwest flights were canceled over the week and on Monday at Charleston International. Airport. The airline cited weather conditions and air traffic control issues as reasons for the cancellations. (WACH.com)
