Here are the top three stories in Charleston today:
- Several community organizations in nearby Northern Charleston combined forces to put on their fifth annual holiday event to give coats, toys, and bikes to kids in need. The event was held for the first time at city hall and gave out more than 500 winter coats and 118 bikes. (Live 5 News WCSC)
- Joint Base Charleston looks at plans to bring Uber to the base for on-base residents. As part of the initiative, the base is looking for 100 drivers from the base and local community to start the program. (WCBD News 2)
- The former Harbour Club building may reopen as a boutique inn. The Charleston City Council discussed the proposal, and many residents have endorsed the plan. (Charleston Post Courier)
