Here are the top stories in Charleston today:

  1. College Of Charleston student Dyllon Gunsolus recently took home a gold medal in the USA Cycling Collegiate Track National Championships. He also placed second in the flying time trial and fourth in the sprint. The international studies major previously served five years of active duty in the U.S. Marine Corps before enrolling in the college. (Press Release Desk)
  2. Charleston's Public Safety Committee is considering changes to its late-night establishment ordinance. One of those changes being considered is requiring all shops, restaurants, and bars on King Street downtown to close at the same time. All shops, convenience stores, restaurants, and bars would need to stop serving at 1:30 a.m and have people out of the door by 2 p.m. Over the summer, the Charleston City Council passed a new ordinance requiring all mobile food vendors to shut down by 1:30 a.m. and stay 10 feet from the sidewalk, amongst other requirements.   3. A massage therapy business on Ashley River Road has been charged for operating as a brothel, according to the State Law Enforcement Division. (WCBD News 2)

  5. After several weather-related delays, the North Charleston Police Department has rescheduled its National Night Out event for Monday, Nov. 8. (ABC NEWS 4)
