4,000 Miles Opens at the Charleston Acting Studio
Come out to James Island and support GREAT local theater!

Multi-Award Winning Midtown Productions is proud to present 4,000 Miles, starring local theatre favorites Samille Basler (Driving Miss Daisy) and Storm Smith (Last Train to Nibroc).
While full of hearty laughs, Amy Herzog’s 4000 Miles also challenges the mind and tugs at the heart. The story centers around Leo, a 21-year-old environmentalist struggling to find himself after experiencing personal tragedy. Luckily for Leo, his feisty 91-year-old grandmother, Vera, is there to show him the way.
Perhaps the Chicago Tribune said it best, ”No play I’ve seen has better understood what a grandparent and grandchild actually can do for one another, if they are given the chance.”

Recipient of numerous awards including the coveted OBIE Award for BEST PLAY, 4000 Miles was also Time Magazine’s #1 Play of 2012, and a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for Drama.
4000 Miles opens November 13 and plays Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturday nights at 8pm, with one Sunday matinee at 3pm on November 30. (No performance on Thanksgiving Day.)
