Here are the top three stories today in Charleston:

  1. The North Charleston Police Department is searching for a missing 41-year-old woman. Marchette Chandler went missing in the Ferndale community on Jul. 3. Chandler is reportedly not taking her medications and has a distinct gait. Anyone with information about Chandler's whereabouts is asked to contact the department immediately. (Live 5 News WCSC)
  2. Charleston County is offering defendants a second chance with Get a Lawyer Week. The program will allow those with personal recognizance bonds to resolve delinquent court cases. Defendants are asked to go to the County's O.T. Wallace Building's room 103 between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. by Jul. 8. (Live 5 News WCSC)
  3. The City of Goose Creek is offering residents the opportunity to honor military veterans with personalized bricks through Jul. 31. The bricks will be engraved with up to three lines - each line containing up to 14 characters. The bricks will be laid at John McCants Veterans Park. Each brick costs $100.
