- Police are investigating the shooting death of a 27-year-old man at a motel. Charleston County Coroner Bobbi Jo O'Neal says Anthony Merida, 27, of Kentucky, died from a gunshot wound. The North Charleston Police Department says officers were dispatched Sunday evening to an Econo Lodge in the 7400 block of North Side Drive, when two employees reported that there might be a dead man in one of the motel rooms. (Charleston Post Courier)
- The Charleston County Coroner's Office has identified the body of a woman North Charleston police found in a motel room that was supposedly vacant. Lauren Bishop, 44, of North Charleston, died Sunday from a gunshot wound. An incident report states an employee of the Red Roof Inn went inside a room to retrieve a shower curtain and discovered Bishop's body at approximately 8:30 a.m. Monday.(Live 5 News WCSC)
- Don Frichtl, a retired deputy, is suing the Charleston Sheriff's Office for alleged unpaid wages. (WTMA)
- Parents file a motion to block Charleston Schools' mask mandate. (Live 5 News WCSC)
- A former Charleston Sports Pub bartender is claiming negligence in a sexual assault charge, but the owner disagrees. (Charleston Post Courier)
