Here are the top stories today in Charleston:
- Charleston Planning Commissioners are planning to discuss a proposed 585-acre housing development in the area of Clements Ferry Road and Cainhoy Road. If approved, the development will add to the population of Berkeley County. It will feature single-family residential homes, according to plans submitted to the commission. (Live 5 News WCSC)
- The largest annual Jewish event in South Carolina, "Chanukah in the Square", will return to Marion Square on Nov. 28 in Downtown Charleston. This year's event will feature live entertainment, a variety of food stations, and children's activities like making your own menorah, decorating your own dreidel, and a bounce castle. The event runs from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. (WCBD News 2)
- The City of Charleston has released its 2021 Holiday Farmers Market schedule, with events planned across the city. The Holiday Markets in Marion Square will be held Saturdays and Sundays for three weeks in December from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (WCBD News 2)
- North Charleston Officers arrested Howard McNair Jr. who allegedly attempted to crash a stolen SUV into patrol cars during a chase in North Charleston yesterday. (Live 5 News WCSC)
