  1. The Charleston Police Department says the South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that stemmed from a North Charleston Police Department pursuit. North Charleston Police say Daniel Mobley, 22, has been charged with failure to stop for a blue light, unlawful carrying of a firearm, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and driving under suspension second offense. Charleston Police Department Sergeant Elisabeth Wolfsen says officers with the North Charleston Police Department pursued Mobley in a vehicle into the downtown area that subsequently crashed into a light pole Monday morning.(Live 5 News WCSC)
  2. The Charleston metro area was placed under a coastal flood advisory as widespread showers were anticipated to dump several inches of rain over much of the southeastern portion of the state. The National Weather Service's Charleston office issued an alert the morning of Sept. 20, warning that periods of showers with isolated thunderstorms could cause flash flooding through Sept. 21. It is possible rainfall could reach up to six inches. (Charleston Post Courier)
  3. Charleston-based Pet Helpers on Monday announced that their spay/neuter clinic is temporarily closed as they struggle with a staffing shortage. (WCBD News 2)
  4. The Charleston Forum is going to host a webinar discussing law enforcement and criminal justice equity on October 6th. (WCBD News 2)
  5. Charleston leaders are expected to consider a new convenience store and gas station coming to the West Ashley area on Monday.(Live 5 News WCSC)
