Local neighborhood restaurants joining include Berkeley's, Herd Provisions, Faculty Lounge, Renzo, and Daps. Attendees can purchase tickets for $40/person, or they can bring a jacket to donate to the Salvation Army for free entry.(charlestongrit.com)
- On Friday night, North Charleston community members gathered in the parking lot of the Piggly Wiggly on Rivers Road to light a candle for CJ Brown Jr. The 19-year-old was shot and killed inside the store on Oct. 29 when 34-year-old Jerrold Cooper Junior entered the store looking for his girlfriend and began shooting. Throughout the vigil, speakers shared personal experiences of homicides in their own families and renewed calls for change. (Live 5 News WCSC)
