Armed robber hits Andolini's

CHARLESTON - A man wearing a black hoodie and a cloth over his face, and carrying a gun robbed the Andolini's Pizza at Savannah Highway and Farmfield Road Saturday, July 16, according to a Charleston Police Department report.

During the robbery the gunman also assaulted workers at the restaurant before forcing one of them to open the safe and then fleeing.

Burglar takes advantage of unlocked front door

CHARLESTON - A "scruffy" man opened the unlocked front door of a Woodcrest Drive residence around 5 a.m. Sunday, July 10 and stole a suitcase style "Mountain Smith" brand brief case and a woman's purse while the resident watched the theft unfold from his couch across the room, according to a Charleston County Sheriff's Office report.

All told the theif made off with several hundred dollars worth of electronics in the brief case, $30 cash and a 3-month supply of the resident's prescription medication.
