🌱 Dominion Energy Power Outages + Veteran Art Exhibit At CHS Airport

A t-storm around in the p.m.. High: 88 Low: 77.


Here are the top three stories today in Charleston:

  1. Dominion Energy reported that hundreds of Charleston residents were affected by power outages over the weekend. Roughly 119 customers in North Charleston, 49 customers in Summerville, and 218 customers throughout Charleston County were affected by the outages. The cause of the energy disturbance was severe weather hitting the region. (ABC NEWS 4)
  2. Charleston's Septima P. Clark Academy requested additional security have a fight broke out last April. The incident involved 10 students fighting. The school's Assistant Principal requested an additional resource officer, a student concern specialist, and an order for involved students to get virtual instruction throughout the rest of the school year. None of the requests were granted by the Department of Alternative Services. (Live 5 News WCSC)
  3. A new Charleston International Airport exhibit honors the sacrifices that the country's veterans have made. The special art exhibit will be on display until Labor Day (Sep. 5, 2022). The exhibit titled "From War to Words - A Visual Voice Portrait Series by Jason Myers" was provided by nonprofit CreatiVets. (Charleston Post Courier)
