🌱 County School District Fires Principal + Charleston Beer Fest

Here are the top three stories today in Charleston:

  1. The Charleston County School District has fired the former principal at Septima P. Clark Corporate Academy. Carolyn Anderson was terminated after an internal investigation discovered she had been making sexual comments to staff members. The termination letter was dated Aug. 1 and signed by Superintendent Don Kennedy. (Live 5 News WCSC)
  2. The City of Charleston will be hosting a Labor Day Concert on Monday, Sep. 5. The free concert will be performed by the Charleston Symphony and hosted at The Joe. Fireworks will follow the Charleston Symphony's performance. The concert starts at 8:00 p.m. with gates opening at 6:00 p.m. Click to reserve tickets. (Holy City Sinner)
  3. The Charleston Beer Fest will be held on Oct. 22 at Riverfront Park. There will be over 40 breweries in attendance and over 20 food trucks. There will also be beer games. North Mississippi Allstars will be headlining the Loopit Music Stage. The festival is between 1:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. (Holy City Sinner)
