  1. The North Charleston Fire Department responded to a scrap metal facility fire on Wednesday. The blaze occurred at B&D Auto and Scrap Metal on Stokes Avenue in the morning hours. Crews' primary focus was containing the fire to prevent it from igniting a nearby fuel tank. The Academy Kingdom childcare center was evacuated while crews fought the fire. (Live 5 News WCSC)
  2. Park Circle Pride has officially begun. The week-long event runs from May 31 through Jun. 5 with an exciting lineup of events such as Saturday's Queer Adult Prom and Sunday's Queer Youth Fest.   3. A North Charleston Blacksmithing firm is expanding its operation through a $2.9 million investment. Robert Thomas Iron Design is expanding into a larger building that will enable it to hire 45 new employees throughout the next three years.
