Here are the top three stories in Charleston today:
- The Charleston Police Department is searching for Drake Abraham Britton. The 31-year-old went missing near Henry Tecklenburg Boulevard in West Ashley on Sunday. The department is asking anyone with information on Britton's whereabouts to contact them immediately. (Live 5 News WCSC)
- A recent study conducted by Justice Innovation Lab recommends an arrest-warrant screening process for Charleston County. The new process would reportedly reduce racial disparities while relieving case backlogs. The process would produce a preliminary review to help decide whether a case meets evidence standards. - Charleston County Public Library's Mount Pleasant Branch reopened on Saturday. The library has been under renovation for about a year. The renovations cost about $108.5 million. The branch is free to use for residents in Charleston County. Non-county residents can use the library for a $40 annual pass. (Live 5 News WCSC)
