Mostly sunny and pleasant. High: 75 Low: 55.

📢 I'm looking for business owners and marketers in Charleston who want to build awareness, connect with customers and increase sales.

I have a limited number of sponsorships available to introduce our Charleston Daily readers to local businesses they need to know about. If that's you, then I invite you to learn more and secure your spot now.

Here are the top three stories today in Charleston:

  1. The Charleston County Sheriff's Office is asking the community for help in solving a 2010 homicide investigation. The incident occurred on Oct. 23, 2010 at a private party on Belgrade Avenue in Charleston. Two individuals were shot and one of the victims died at the hospital following the incident. The department has not been able to identify any suspects in the homicide investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the department. (WBTW)
  2. The State Law Enforcement Division reports that four inmates at Charleston County Detention Center have been charged for facilitating a violent attack. The inmates have been charged with second-degree assault and battery by mob. The violent attack was caught on detention center surveillance cameras. (The State)
  3. The Charleston County Council has approved an ordinance that will limit the amount of flat hard surfaces in new housing developments. The goal of the ordinance is to address flooding and water accumulation concerns, as a flat hard surface does not properly absorb water. Industrial and commercial businesses are exempt from the ordinance. (PostAndCourier.com)
