First, today's weather:

Here are the top three stories in Charleston today:
- An engine malfunction is the cause of a small plane crash in Charleston. On Tuesday afternoon, a small plane crashed in a field near Edisto Island after the pilot's wing hit a post during landing. The pilot was not injured in the incident. (Live 5 News WCSC)
- Asherai Gadsden, 21, is facing murder and attempted armed robbery charges after a shooting on Sunday. North Charleston Police to the 7600 block of Suzanne Drive on Sunday morning and witnessed a man with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the site. (Live 5 News WCSC)
- Firefighters responded to a structure fire on Nassau Street in downtown Charleston on Tuesday afternoon. A building on Romney Street was on fire. No one was inside the building and the fire has been contained. (WCBD News 2)
