  1. The Ninth Circuit Solicitor has cleared a Charleston County deputy in a deadly shooting. Solicitor Scarlett Wilson says Deputy Nicholas Vecchione's use of deadly force was "reasonable, appropriate and lawful" in the Sept. 18 shooting of Jason Husted. Wilson said it was "abundantly clear" that Vecchione and the other law enforcement officers on the scene, a family member Husted reportedly was holding hostage and neighbors were in "actual and imminent danger of death and/or great bodily harm from Husted's behavior."   2. Charleston will soon be home to a Professional Equity Musical Theatre Company. Charleston Playhouse is planning to open in 2023 at Festival Hall. Charleston Playhouse will feature Broadway actors, members of the Actors' Equity Association, and professional local talent.(WCBD News 2)
  3. The Citadel Mall will host its free 3rd Annual Lowcountry Halloween Fest on Sunday, Oct. 24th from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. (holycitysinner.com)
