Summertrees on Johns Island

This extraordinary neighborhood is delightfully suburban and yet conveniently close to the city

Established in 2003, Summertrees on Johns Island quickly became a favorite community with home buyers in the Charleston area. The neighborhood is well known for its moderately priced, 1 and 2 story homes which offer 3-4 bedrooms, attached 2-car garages, and 1300 to 2500 square feet of living space. The lots are easy to maintain at 0.17 to 0.3 acres in size. Many of the lots are adjacent to wooded areas and others feature pond views, providing a tranquil suburban ambiance.

Amenities are limited to a playground for children of the neighborhood but the area is rich in recreational opportunities. James Island County Park is nearby and offers a wide variety of outdoor activities. The 648-acre park is home to Splash Zone Waterpark and the state’s biggest outdoor climbing wall. There are also miles of nature trails for biking and hiking, a dog park, picnic/grilling area, a volleyball court, and kayak rentals. Downtown Charleston is 10 miles away and Folly Beach is just a short 15 minute ride. To golfers’ delight, Charleston’s Municipal Golf Course is only 6 miles from home. If you like eating out, there are lots of great options close to home, such as the Tomato Shed, Fat Hen, New Moon Pizzeria, Wild Olive and more.

Delightfully rural and yet conveniently close to the city, Summertrees is the best of both worlds. If you would like to know more about Charleston real estate and the extraordinary Summertrees neighborhood, please visit our website. Call our real estate experts with any questions you may have.
