Here are the top stories in Charleston today:

  1. Local residents are concerned about neighborhood safety after reports of suspicious activity on Charleston County roads. A Facebook post published on a community forum group amassed dozens of comments and shares of people telling their stories about a car or a pair of cars acting in a suspicious manner. The complaints stemmed from an area near Steed Creek Road and Halfway Creek Road, as well as Highway 17. The Charleston County Sheriff's Office isinvestigating the reports. (Live 5 News WCSC)
  2. A new study has found that Charleston is among the nation's best cities for military retirees. SmartAsset researchers analyzed several metrics across three categories, which were military retirement friendliness, resources for veterans, and the broader economic environment. (WTMA)
  3. Lime, one of the two companies in the running to take over the operation of Charleston's bike-share system, is stopping in town for a live demonstration of its e-bikes today and tomorrow. (Charleston City Paper)
