Hello all. I'm back with your fresh edition of the Charleston Daily, fresh off the presses. Here are all the things you need to know about what's happening in town.

Here are the top three stories in Charleston today:

  1. Charleston fishermen are enjoying the peak of tarpon catching. The tarpon season picks up in Aug. and continues through mid-Oct. The best locations for tarpon fishing are the Charleston Jetties and the barrier islands' sandbars. (Charleston Post Courier)
  2. The North Charleston Police Department responded to a Chuck E. Cheese restaurant on Saturday evening. The response was due to a disturbance that occurred between numerous adults. The department is reportedly conducting an investigation into the incident. As of Sunday evening, it is unclear if any arrests were made. (WCBD News 2)
  3. The Charleston County Coroner's Office has confirmed that the body pulled from Lighthouse Point belongs to missing woman Megan Rich. She was reported missing on Aug. 16 and was last seen on Aug. 12. Brian Curtis Baker, 59 years old, was arrested for Rich's murder and released with a GPS monitor. Baker died by suicide, according to the Charleston County Coroner. The Charleston Police Department is continuing its investigation despite Baker's death. (Live 5 News)

  • America's Boating Club Charleston will be hosting a boating safety class on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. The class will be held at 1376 Orange Grove Road. It is $45 for adults and $15 for additional household members. (Post and Courier)
