Here are the top stories today in Charleston:
- Three people are facing charges after a lengthy investigation into a suspected narcotics and prostitution operation out of a West Ashley home. Yesterday, Charleston Police announced three arrests following a months-long investigation into 445 Blue Dragonfly Drive. 33-year-old Nicolas MacArthur, 35-year-old Lauren Sheely, and 34-year-old Mandy Gilbert were all arrested and are being held at the Al Cannon Detention Center. (ABC 4 News)
- Local organizations and businesses in Charleston are working to provide Thanksgiving meals to people in need this season. East Cooper Community Outreach says the need for food assistance is higher during the holidays, especially during the pandemic. According to Feeding America, over 555,630 people including over 160,000 children are food insecure in South Carolina. ECCO is providing 500 meals to their clients ahead of Thanksgiving. - A Charleston tech company, Micfo, LLC, and its CEO, Amir Golestan, have pleaded guilty to twenty counts of wire fraud. (ABC 4 News)
