Reflekt Polarized Big Shot Volleyball Series Comes to Myrtle Beach

Presented by Spalding King of the Beach

The Reflekt Polarized Big Shot Volleyball Series, presented by Horry County, will start the 2015 Fall Tour throughout the Southeast this October. Teams from throughout the East Coast will compete as they wind down the 2015 beach volleyball season. All events are sanctioned by Volley America.

10/10-11 Myrtle Beach, SC

10/17-18 Sarasota, FL

10/24-25 Clearwater Beach, FL

The Big Shot Volleyball Series holds 35 events leading up to the October 24-25 $10,000 Volley America National Championships in Clearwater Beach. Men’s and Women’s Open, AA and A division winners will receive a trip to the Volley America National Championships on October 24-25 in Clearwater Beach, FL.

Separate divisions will be held for players of intermediate and novice levels on Saturday and Sunday. The $60 entry fee entitles players to a full day of beach volleyball, an official East End Volleyball t-shirt, and a chance to win merchandise prizes from tournament sponsors Spalding King of the Beach, Reflekt Polarized Sunglasses, Rider Sandals, 4C Totally Lite 2Go, Sports Authority, Sand Socks by Vincere, Park & Sun, Hytail Ponytail hat, Dig Magazine, Sportime, Horry County, Spike Key, South Shore Outdoors, and Volley America.

About East End Volleyball

East End Volleyball has been organizing beach volleyball tournaments for 39 years since 1977. Based in the East End of Long Island, EEVB has grown into the largest beach volleyball series in the East End of the country with tournaments from Newport, RI to Hollywood, Florida. Sanctioned by the Volley America, EEVB runs over 35 events for 4,000 plus players. The highest level in the tournaments, the Open Division, is equivalent to AAA Baseball and funnels players into the Pro Beach Volleyball Tour.

About Volley America

Volley America is an organization for beach volleyball promoters whose goal is to promote beach volleyball throughout the US. By cooperating and charging a national membership fee, players are able to compete in numerous tournaments, earn national ranking points and qualify for end of the season cash prizes in the $40,000 Volley America grand Prix.

Event: Volley America Southeast Regionals/Flyaway

Times:

· Saturday: 8 am – 6 pm for Men’s & Women’s Open, AA, A & B

· Sunday: 9 am – 6 pm for Coed AA, A & B

· Playoffs: Men`s Open semifinals and finals will be held on Sunday starting at 1 pm. MAA & WAA finals on Sunday at 11 am

Fees:

· Free for spectators

· $100/team for Open divisions

· $60/team all other divisions

· $10 late fee for paying on the beach

Prizes:

· MO: $1,500 + trip to Nationals*

· WO: $750 + trip to Nationals*

· MAA & WAA: trip to Nationals*

· MA & WA: trip to Nationals*

*Nationals Trip: Win travel $200 towards travel expenses and 2 nights in host hotel plus entry fee into the tournament. Trip must be used for current year`s tournament, may be transferred to another player in same division

Additional prizes from 4C Totally Light 2Go Energy Drinks, Spalding, Rider Sandals, Reflekt Polarized, Bally’s Casino, Sand Socks by Vincere, Dig Magazine, Sports Authority, SOB Volleyball Vacations, Park & Sun net systems, Sportime, Horry County, Spike Key, Hytail Ponytail hat, Volley America, and South Shore Outdoors will be awarded in the A and B divisions.
