Suspected West Ashley Bank Robber Arrested in Las Vegas
A Charleston man arrested in Las Vegas Wednesday is wanted in connection with a June 8 bank robbery in West Ashley.

The U.S. Marshals Task Force in Las Vegas arrested 51-year-old Mark Luppino on Wednesday, according to a statement issued by Charleston Police Department Public Information Officer Charles Francis.
Luppino, of 1826 Sandcroft Drive, Charleston, is accused of . During the robbery a man, allegedly Luppino, handed a note demanding money to a bank teller then fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Luppino is currently being held at the Clarke County Detention Center in Las Vegas. He is charged with entering a financial institution with the intent to steal. The Charleston County Sheriff's Office Extradition Team is making arrangements to transfer him back to South Carolina, according to Francis' statement.
