• Fall festival kicks off Saturday as LushAcres Farm opens five weekends of family fun (whosonthemove.com) — Families in Clinton can dive into fall fun as LushAcres Farm opens its annual festival this Saturday, Oct. 3, with five straight Saturdays of activities on W. Maple St. Extension. For a single admission price, visitors get a corn maze, live bluegrass, kids' attractions, local vendors, and a pumpkin patch, all supporting Thornwell's mission to strengthen families and prevent child abuse.
• How Clinton will benefit from LCWSC initiatives (myclintonnews.com) — Extensive sewer upgrades around Clinton are underway and scheduled through 2028, positioning the city for more commercial and industrial growth while improving wastewater reliability for nearby neighborhoods and schools. Laurens County Water and Sewer Commission is leveraging millions in grants to rehab aging lines, upgrade lift stations, and study "forever chemicals," with decisions in Washington likely to affect future local water-treatment costs.
• Clinton High's Devil Regiment makes history with first finals appearance at Festival of Bands (whosonthemove.com) — Clinton High School's Devil Regiment marching band just made program history by reaching the finals at the Festival of Bands after sweeping its class in prelims. The students now head to Byrnes High School in Duncan on Saturday, Oct. 3, where local supporters are invited to cheer them on in their next competition.
