2. Magnus Development Partners Breaks Ground on Gateway 2 at 803 Park (columbiabusinessmonthly.com) — A major expansion is underway at 803 Park next to Columbia Metropolitan Airport, where Magnus Development Partners has broken ground on Gateway 2, a large Class A industrial building. With three existing buildings already fully leased and strong demand for space in the Columbia market, this project signals continued growth in local distribution, manufacturing and logistics jobs and investment.
3. Columbia woman dies after being struck by train in Forest Acres (thestate.com) — A 61-year-old Columbia woman died early Wednesday after a commercial train struck her on the tracks along Two Notch Road near Forest Acres, an area many local residents travel through. Forest Acres police say the engineer used the horn and emergency brakes, but the train still needed about a half-mile to stop, and investigators are continuing to review what happened.
4. 5.
