The case is part of a wider spike in rabies across South Carolina, with authorities urging up-to-date vaccinations and quick reporting of any bites or suspicious encounters.
   

• Over $618K recovered in back wages for Tropical Grille workers denied full pay (foxcarolina.com) — Tropical Grille workers in Easley are among 779 employees statewide receiving part of more than $618,000 in recovered back wages after federal investigators found child labor, overtime, and tip-pooling violations. The U.S. Department of Labor also fined the company and is requiring new training and compliance steps, which could change pay practices at the Easley location going forward.
