10U All-Star Update From the Road
"Excited aunt" reports in on team's early tournament success.
Fiona Amaker, a self-proclaimed "excited aunt" for Goose Creek's 10U all-star team, checked in for us from game one in the regional tournament in New Bern, N.C.:
"Just wanted to let you know that the Goose Creek 10U boys won there 1st game with a blowout: 17-2 against East Roland North Carolina.
All I can say is we batted through the entire line-up multiple times! Justin Lifsey was subbed in in the 5th inning with a big hit to center field fence which scored two of the runs. Jake Chapman laid down two beautiful bunts moving base runners. Dylan Stewart started the night pitching and Jackson Price was closing pitcher.
