10U All-Stars Finish Regional Play in Quarter Finals

Goose Creek boys win first game Saturday, but finish the day with a loss.

Goose Creek's 10U boys played well, but finished their regional run in the quarters finals in New Bern, N.C.

"Saturday morning's game against Warren County, Tenn., was an extremely hot game. Our boys battled through the heat playing great defense and swinging the bats to seal the win with a 7-5 victory. This gave them a 4-0 record heading into the quarter final game Saturday afternoon.

"The 3:00 game was against Naples, Fla. Naples capitalized on a few Goose Creek errors, making the score 5-1. Goose Creek battled back, bringing the score to 5-5. In the end, it was Naples winning the game with a score of 6-5.

"Even though these boys are now out of the regional tournament we have a lot to be proud of them for! These boys have played their hearts out each and every game.

"They placed 3rd in district and 1st in state and the final eight teams in the southeastern regionals!! They have made it farther than any other all-star baseball team at Goose Creek Recreation! Thank you to the parents, coaches, volunteers and sponsors for all of your support!"
