Alcoa is Hiring and More Local Jobs

I was speaking with an Alcoa employee a few months back and he was talking about how the Goose Creek plant is like a family. The closeness is likely one of the reasons that there aren't many openings at the plant that employees more than 600 locals.

Alcoa has a rare opening, looking for an industrial hygienist for the Mt. Holly site. A bachelor's degree is required for this position, which will report to the site's safety manager. The successful candidate will be in charge of hygiene programs like respiratory and hearing protection.

Include Lowe's among those retail centers staffing up this holiday season. The Northwoods location has openings for a cashier, load puller and a customer service represenative for appliances. And, if you've got some experience, there's also a need for a lumber department manager. The Goose Creek location is also looking for a sales specialist in its appliance department.

Chuck E. Cheese has a new mouse in its promotional ads, and now the North Charleston location is looking for a new assistant manager. The City of Goose Creek has a new opening for a trash collector.
