Alcoa Local Safety Program Raises $10,000 for Toys for Tots
Employees earn money for toy shopping through safety initiative.

Alcoa's Mt. Holly plant tackled both safety and community service in a recent toy drive at the plant, just outside of Goose Creek.
Company employees helped raise $10,000 for the local Toys for Tots program, but the unique fundraiser wasn't about raising money, but about focusing on safety.Â
Beginning Nov. 1, employees who demonstrated safe workplace actions and showed leadership in plant safety were recognized with a $5-$15 plant contribution to a toy fund. The plant also contributed to the toy fund on behalf of employees who submitted healthy recipes for an Alcoa cookbook.
