The Berkeley County Democratic Party held their 1st annual BBQ and Stump on Saturday, April 21, at Will Lacey Park in Moncks Corner. Candidates for office speaking included Barby McGowin, Senate District 44; Bobbie Rose, 1st Congressional District; and Joe Jefferson, House District 102. Also speaking was Dr. Angela Douglas, an active Chester County Democrat. Chairwoman Melissa Watson urged all Berkeley Democrats to be involved in the upcoming election by contributions of time, energy effort and funding.
