Berkeley Democrats Attend State Democratic Convention

Thirty-two Berkeley County Democrats attended the S.C. Democratic Party Convention on Saturday, May 12, at the  Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center.

Steve Kerrigan, CEO of the National Democratic Convention coming up in Charlotte, was the keynote speaker. Also speaking were Congressman Jim Clyburn and State Party Chairman Dick Harpootlian.

Several Berkeley Dems also attended the Jefferson-Jackson dinner on May 11, where Gov. Duvall Patrick of Massachusetts was the speaker.

Berkeley Dems attending were: Jane Pulling, Leonard and Sanobice Hilton, Jeff and Barbara McGowin, Ulysses Greene, Christine Vice, Vernelle and Florence Dickerson, Wilhelmina  Moore, Ralph Parker, Auvo Kemppinen, Booker and Peggy Manigault, Margaret Rush, Carolyn Simmons, Patti Woodford, Billy Coryea, Michelle Cox, Shirley Brown, Gloria Cephas, Franklin Cleveland, Derrick Reddick, Pat Jones, Willie Mae Nelson, Rudell Houseworth, Shirley Brown, and Melissa Watson.
