Congressman Tim Scott Invites First District WWII Veterans to Special Ceremony Honoring Their Service
Release, Office of U.S. Rep. Tim Scott:
Congressman Tim Scott invites the First District's World War Two veterans to join him for a special ceremony honoring their service on Saturday, July 28. The ceremony will take place at 9 a.m. in the North Charleston Convention Center.
"Without the courage and sacrifice of the Greatest Generation, the world would be a very different place today," Scott said. "I am truly humbled by their strength, and I am honored to hold this special ceremony for them. While we can never fully repay our veterans for their heroism, we can ensure they are treated with the honor and respect they deserve. I hope to see all of our World War Two veterans who can make it on July 28!"
