Public Meeting Nov. 15 in Charleston County Concerning S-32 (Spruill Avenue) Bridge Replacement

The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) has scheduled a public information meeting in Charleston County on Tuesday, Nov. 15, concerning the proposed bridge replacement on S-32 (Spruill Avenue) over Noisette Creek between Montague Avenue and McMillan Avenue.

The meeting will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., at North Charleston High School. The meeting will have a drop-in format with project displays available for viewing.  Informal, written and verbal comments will be collected during the meeting.

The purpose of the meeting is to provide information and solicit feedback from area residents concerning the proposed bridge replacement on S-32 (Spruill Avenue) over Noisette Creek between Montague Avenue and McMillan Avenue.  Another purpose of the meeting will be to gather information from the public or any interested organization on historic or cultural resources in the area.  The bridge replacement is proposed in order to upgrade the existing structure that is currently structurally deficient.  Representatives of SCDOT will be available to answer questions.
