Scott Looking for First District Interns

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Tim Scott’s office is accepting internship applications for both the Charleston and Myrtle Beach District Offices.  To apply, students are encouraged to email a one-page cover letter, resume and two references to Internships.SC01@mail.house.gov. If email access is unavailable, students should call (843) 852-2222 or toll-free (888) 868-0737 and ask for the District Director. Internships are unpaid.

The hours are flexible to accommodate students' hectic course schedules, but will fall within the normal office hours of 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

In the Charleston and Myrtle Beach offices, interns may be asked to perform a variety of tasks, including day-to-day office work such as answering phones and assisting with media clips. In addition, interns may be assigned to assist in various constituent casework, research, or work on district-based projects.  Through interface with the Washington office, they will gain valuable knowledge and insight on the many functions of a congressional office.
